Privacy statement
As at 6 August 2026. This is a translation for convenience; the German version is the legally binding one.
In short
This website sets no cookies, embeds no fonts, maps, analytics or social media services from third-party servers, and transmits no data to third parties when you simply visit it. We process only what arises technically when a page is requested, and whatever you choose to write in the contact form.

Visiting this website
Each request writes one line to a server log file, recording:
- the IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- the name and path of the file requested
- the volume of data transferred and the status returned
- the previously visited page, where the browser sends it
- browser type, version and operating system
Purpose: running the site, diagnosing faults and
defending against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest
in providing the site reliably and securely.
Retention: 14 days, after which entries
are deleted automatically.
The IP address is stored in full and is not truncated. This data is not combined with other sources and no usage profile is created.
Contact form
If you send us the form on the contact page, we process what you entered: name, email address, phone number if given, the selected subject and your message. It reaches us as an email to info@auto-bertram.de.
Purpose: dealing with your enquiry and any follow-up.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns steps
towards a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in
answering enquiries.
Retention: as long as needed to deal with the matter,
then deleted unless statutory retention periods apply.
To guard against automated submissions we also process your IP address on sending, limit how often messages can be sent, and include the IP address in the notification email (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No captcha service or other third party is involved.
Stored colour scheme preference
If you switch between the light and dark appearance, your browser
remembers that choice in local storage (localStorage). It is
not a cookie, it never leaves your device and it is not transmitted to us.
The access is necessary to provide the service you explicitly asked for
and is therefore permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. You
can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Recipients
We use no processors for this website. The web server and mail server are operated in-house. Data is not passed to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.
Transfers to third countries
No transfer to countries outside the EU or EEA takes place.
Links to other services
This site links to Google Maps (route planning), Facebook and AutoScout24. These are ordinary links, not embedded content: data is transmitted to the provider only once you click. Their privacy terms then apply.
Your rights
In relation to us you have the right to
- access the data held about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.
Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
Advertising by email
We object to the use of contact details published in our imprint for unsolicited advertising.
